You can be functioning
and still feel stuck
You may have sensed that something needs to shift in your life. You might be managing what’s in front of you, and still feel overwhelmed or like you're stuck on autopilot, reliving the same habits day after day.
Sometimes this shows up as anxiety, overthinking. relationship strain, self-doubt, grief, or carrying hurt from the past.
You might know that you want to do differently but may feel unsure of where to even start. By understanding the thoughts and patterns that hold us back, we are able to change them and create space for a life of intentional purpose, authenticity, and fulfillment.

Patricia Stoff, Therapist
in Sarasota, Florida.
Hi! I’m Patricia Stoff, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and therapist based in Sarasota, Florida. I work with adults and older teens both in-person and online throughout the state of Florida.
Before moving into private practice, my work focused heavily on early development and family systems. That experience still shapes how I approach therapy now. I tend to look at patterns in context—how they formed, what they developed around, and why certain ways of thinking, reacting, or relating continue to show up, whether that’s in anxiety, relationships, grief, or life transitions.
My approach is grounded in attachment theory and relational work, along with practical, usable ways of working through what’s coming up. Insight matters, but I’m also paying attention to what actually helps things shift in your day-to-day life. That usually means a mix of understanding what’s underneath and finding different ways to respond in real time.
